Sweet Stained
Kate,
a woman trapped in a painful world of lies and distrust discovers a ray
of hope in the form of
Alex who longs to take her away from the dark
underbelly of the drug trade.
Sweet Stained is a short film directed by Uisdean Murray and written
& by Mary-ann Cerruti. The film was completed in June 2006 and
premiered at the Action On Film festival in LA in July.
Though
the film is self-contained we are using it as a taster for a feature
length project called
Angel Dust. Sweet Stained offers a glimpse into
the characters and shooting style that we hope to bring to the big
screen in the near future...
"Easily
the most distinctive film stylistically was Uisdean Murray's latest
slice of Tartan noir. Scripted by leading lady Mary-Ann Cerruti, Sweet
Stained showed the trademark style and pace Murray showed in his Jemima
films (starring Joy McAvoy). One could reduce Murray's work to the
formula of girls, guts and guns if there wasn't this persistent sense
of a major talent emerging".
